# Network confirmation

> A network confirmation is the inclusion of a cryptocurrency transaction in a block (and the blocks after it) that makes it final; a deposit is credited once the network considers it confirmed, seconds to an hour depending on the coin.

A transaction broadcast to a network is first seen as pending in the mempool, then included in a block, then buried under further blocks that make reversing it impractical. How many blocks count as "confirmed" depends on the coin's block time and security model: seconds on Solana and Tron, minutes on Ethereum and Litecoin, ten minutes per block on Bitcoin, around two on Monero.

Pending funds are not spendable; a campaign scheduled before the credit lands will wait for it.

At SMSMeteor: a deposit shows as pending when seen and is credited in USD after confirmation; typical times per coin are on the [payments page](https://smsmeteor.com/pay-with-crypto).
