03Choosing
When Bitcoin is the right choice
Bitcoin is the coin most people already hold, and for a top-up of a few hundred dollars or more the network fee is a small share. It is a poor fit for small, frequent deposits: at busy times the fee can exceed a modest top-up, and a low fee means a longer wait for the first confirmation. If you are buying crypto specifically to fund SMS, a dollar stablecoin on a low-fee network is cheaper and faster.
Whatever the coin, the mechanics are the same: the deposit shows as pending when the network sees it, is credited after confirmation, is converted once to US dollars at the market rate displayed at that moment, and then buys messages at the published rate card. The balance never expires and unused balance is refundable in the coin it came from under the refund policy.

Before you send
Send on the Bitcoin network only, to the address shown on the deposit screen, and copy it from the panel rather than from an old note. Attach a fee that matches how soon you need the credit: wallets usually offer an estimate for the next block. A transaction that sits unconfirmed is not lost; it is credited when it confirms. Schedule campaigns after the credit lands, not before.

Is there a fee for paying in Bitcoin?
No deposit fee is charged by SMSMeteor. You pay the Bitcoin network fee attached to your transaction, which varies with network load.
Does the balance follow the Bitcoin price?
No. The deposit is converted to US dollars once, at the market rate displayed when it is credited, and the balance stays in dollars.
Can I pay through the Lightning Network?
Deposits are on-chain Bitcoin. If speed and low fees matter more than the coin, USDT on a low-fee network, Solana, Tron or Litecoin are credited faster.
Is a Bitcoin payment anonymous?
No identity is attached to your account, but Bitcoin itself is a public ledger: the transaction is visible on chain. For a payment that reveals nothing on chain, Monero is the private option.
