03Choosing
When Ethereum makes sense
If your funds are in ETH, paying directly avoids a swap. Blocks arrive every twelve seconds or so, and a deposit is treated as final after a few dozen of them, so the wait is minutes rather than the better part of an hour. The cost is gas: on a quiet day it is modest, at busy times it can be several dollars, which matters for a small top-up and not for a large one.
Whatever the coin, the mechanics are the same: the deposit shows as pending when the network sees it, is credited after confirmation, is converted once to US dollars at the market rate displayed at that moment, and then buys messages at the published rate card. The balance never expires and unused balance is refundable in the coin it came from under the refund policy.

Send on Ethereum mainnet to the address shown. Funds sent from a layer-2 network or a sidechain to a mainnet address are not received. If your ETH sits on a layer 2, bridge or withdraw to mainnet first, or pay with a coin whose native network you already use.
