Pay with XMR

Pay for SMS with Monero.
The payment itself stays private.

An account without identity, funded with a coin without a public ledger. XMR deposits are credited after ten confirmations, about twenty minutes, then held in US dollars.

01In short

To pay for SMS with Monero on SMSMeteor, open Add credit, choose Monero, and send XMR to the address shown. The deposit is credited after ten confirmations, about twenty minutes, because Monero itself locks new outputs for ten blocks. The balance is then held in US dollars and spent per message. Monero hides the sender, the recipient and the amount on chain, so the payment reveals nothing to an outside observer.

02How it works

From wallet to delivered messages in four steps.

  1. 01Open an account

An email address and a password. No identity document and no card: there is nothing to verify before you can deposit.

  2. 02Choose Monero

In the panel, open Add credit and pick Monero. The screen shows the amount to send and your deposit address.

  3. 03Send from any wallet

Pay from a personal wallet or an exchange withdrawal, on the network shown. The deposit appears as pending when the network sees it.

  4. 04Credited in US dollars

After confirmation the amount is converted once and added to your balance. Send from the panel or the API at the published rates.

03Choosing

Why Monero fits a no-KYC account

Not being asked for a passport is one half of privacy; not publishing your payments is the other. A Bitcoin or Ethereum deposit is permanently visible on a public ledger and can be linked to the exchange account it came from. Monero uses ring signatures, stealth addresses and confidential amounts so that a transaction tells an observer nothing. For a project that chose a gateway precisely because it does not collect identity, paying in Monero is the consistent choice.

Whatever the coin, the mechanics are the same: the deposit shows as pending when the network sees it, is credited after confirmation, is converted once to US dollars at the market rate displayed at that moment, and then buys messages at the published rate card. The balance never expires and unused balance is refundable in the coin it came from under the refund policy.

04Checklist

Why it takes about twenty minutes

Monero outputs are locked for ten blocks by the protocol; nobody can treat them as spendable sooner, including us. Blocks arrive about every two minutes, hence the wait. If you need credit in a minute, USDT on a low-fee network is the practical choice; if you want the payment to be private, the wait is what buys it. Some exchanges restrict Monero withdrawals, so most users fund from a personal wallet.

05What a top-up buys

Messages per deposit, at today's rates.

The balance is in US dollars, so the arithmetic is the same whatever coin you paid with: amount divided by the destination's published rate, one segment per message.

07Questions, answered

Paying with Monero, answered.

How long does a Monero deposit take?

About twenty minutes: ten confirmations at roughly two minutes per block. The ten-block lock is part of the Monero protocol, not a platform setting.

Is paying with Monero really private?

On chain, yes: Monero hides the sender, the recipient and the amount by default. On our side the account holds an email address and nothing else about you.

Do you charge more for Monero?

No. There is no deposit fee for any coin, and messages cost the same published rate whatever you paid with.

Can I get a refund in Monero?

Yes. Unused balance is refunded in the coin it was funded with, to a wallet address you provide, minus the network fee, as described in the refund policy.

Will Monero stay supported?

It is one of the seven coins accepted today and it matters to the people this gateway was built for. Any change to accepted coins would be announced on the blog in advance.
