Why most businesses pick USDT
A business budgets in dollars. Paying in a volatile coin means the amount you send is converted at a moving price; paying in a dollar stablecoin removes that step. The rate card is in dollars, the balance is in dollars, and a deposit of 250 USDT buys exactly what the cost calculator shows. On a low-fee network the transfer is also the cheapest and fastest of the seven options, which makes small, frequent top-ups practical.
Whatever the coin, the mechanics are the same: the deposit shows as pending when the network sees it, is credited after confirmation, is converted once to US dollars at the market rate displayed at that moment, and then buys messages at the published rate card. The balance never expires and unused balance is refundable in the coin it came from under the refund policy.

TRC-20 or ERC-20: check the network
The same USDT token exists on several blockchains, and they are not interchangeable. Tokens sent on a network other than the one shown for your deposit address are not received, and recovery is not always possible. The deposit screen states the network next to the address: select the same network in your wallet or exchange withdrawal form before confirming. TRC-20 (Tron) is usually the cheap, fast choice; ERC-20 (Ethereum) makes sense when the funds already sit on Ethereum.

Which USDT network should I use?

What happens if I send USDT on the wrong network?
Tokens sent on a network that does not match the deposit address are not received and cannot always be recovered. Check the network in your wallet before confirming, and write to support with the transaction id if it happens.
Is 100 USDT credited as exactly 100 dollars?
USDT is converted at the market rate displayed at credit, which stays very close to one dollar. You also pay your own network fee on top of the amount sent.
